Unclaw Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

The Unclaw extension is a companion to the Unclaw desktop app. The extension itself has no servers: everything it handles goes to the Unclaw app running on your own computer. What happens after that depends on how you use the app, and is described below. Foton Labs does not sell your data, show you ads, or use your conversations to train models.

What the extension can access

• Text you select on a page, when you invoke Unclaw on it.
• Page content and titles, when you ask a question about the page or ask Unclaw to act on it.
• Screenshots of the visible tab, when you ask a question that needs one ("what am I seeing?").
• Your microphone, only while you hold the voice button, for speech-to-text.
• Tab titles and URLs, when you ask Unclaw to work with your tabs.

Where that data goes

All of it is sent to exactly one place: the Unclaw desktop application running on your own machine (127.0.0.1). From there, content you chose to share is processed by the AI provider you configured in the desktop app, under your own account or API keys. The extension contains no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party scripts.

Conversation sync

If you sign in to an Unclaw account in the desktop app, the text of your conversations with your character is stored in your account so your history follows you across devices. Page text you chose to share in a conversation can therefore become part of that stored history. Screenshots and images are processed transiently for the conversation and are not stored in your account. Synced history is private to your account and is used only to provide the sync feature. Acting in your browser

When you ask Unclaw to do something ("open YouTube and play lofi"), the AI can navigate, click, and type in your browser. This is only possible while the Unclaw side panel is open, and every action is shown as a line in the panel's conversation as it happens. Close the panel and the capability is gone.

What is stored

Your recent panel conversation is kept in the browser's session storage on your device so it survives a panel reopen, and is cleared when Chrome exits. The extension stores nothing anywhere else.
